NEW WATERFORD — The Belonging ministry of Abundant Life Fellowship, 46469 state Route 46, is sponsoring this year’s Classic Car Show set for 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday in the church parking lot.
Registration starts at 3 p.m., and the entry fee for all vehicles is $5. The first 50 entrants will receive a dash plaque.
Nine trophies will be awarded in three categories: Mayor’s Choice, Pastor’s Choice and Fan Favorite, in which the public will be able to vote. New Waterford Mayor Shane Patrone will be participating this year in the winner selection process.
Food from the church’s grill ministry will be available to purchase. Gift baskets will be available in a Chinese auction, a 50-50 raffle will be offered, and door prizes will be awarded throughout the day.
Gene Johnson, who has overseen Salem’s Arby’s Cruisin’ Cruise for many years, will be the disc jockey.
This year’s car show will benefit The Belonging, a ministry started several years for young girls that has since expanded to include all women. The ministry has been hosting once-a-month worship nights this summer and fall and plans to offer a weekend conference next spring.
