Classic car lovers can check out a show in Silver Lake.

The Cruisin’ the Boulevard Car Show will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sept. 19 along Silver Lake Boulevard and at the boathouse.

Registration begins at 10 a.m. All makes and models are welcome with an entry fee of $10 for show cars. Admission to the show is free to the public and there will be live music from local band Vibe45, a 50/50 raffle, and door prizes throughout the day.   

The Silver Lake Police Association will provide complimentary snacks and fun for the whole family and Swenson’s Food Truck will be ready to serve up Akron’s famous burgers. Awards will be given for “Best in Show,” “Police Department’s Choice,” “Spectator’s Choice,” and “Best Display.”

The first 200 entries to the show will receive a goodie bag, dash plaque and a complimentary ticket for the 50/50 raffle. All proceeds from the event will go to Wounded Warrior Foundation. For questions or more information about the event, contact Brandi or Scott Croghan at [email protected].
